There are four parts to Medicare (Part A and Part B together are called “Original Medicare”):
Roman Brokers Insurance can help you determine if you are eligible for Medicare. A primary requirement is that you must be a U.S. citizen or a legal resident for more than 5 years. You also qualify If you are under 65 and you have received Social Security Disability income for 24 months.
If you are 65 and older and qualify for premium-free Part A, it is likely you will be enrolled automatically for Medicare Part A, which covers hospital services. Medicare Part B covers doctor and other medical services, but typically you must apply for Part B and pay a monthly premium. For more information on Medicare eligibility call Dan Roman at 480-834-7447.
If your modified adjusted gross income as reported on your IRS tax return from 2 years ago is above a certain amount, you’ll pay the standard Part B premium AND an income-related monthly adjustment amount. If you have questions about your Part B premium, call Dan Roman at Roman Brokers Insurance at 480-834-7447.
